  12. About the Plug-Ins folder

  14. The Plug-Ins folder is searched by iView Multimedia, every time the application is launched.
  15. Users can place files (plug-ins), inside this folder in order to expand functional aspects of the application.

  17. There are 4 types of plug-in files, currently recognized by iView Multimedia:

  19. 1. Language plug-ins that localize menus and dialogs for a particular language.
  20. 2. Splash screens that let users create a custom dialog that opens every time they launch the application.
  21. 3. AppleScripts that are attached to the Script menu within iView Multimedia.
  22. 4. QuickTime™ codecs that enable iView Multimedia to read more file formats.
